If you can provide leadership, expert advice and guidance on all people and workforce matters; offer trusted and expert HR advice to the senior leadership team and Board; and advise and provide insight whilst taking a lead role in facilitating the development of a high performing and inclusive culture which aligns with and supports the organisation’s strategic direction; then we need to talk.

If you could shape and oversee plans and activities to support the health and wellbeing of staff and engender a customer-focused culture to ensure that all staff have access to effective and fit for purpose and resilient people services; and if you can oversee resource management including implementing strategies to help the organisation respond to external and internal demands and requirements; then you could be the special someone we are searching for!
Of course, you will need to have demonstrable experience of delivery in a relevant senior leadership role within a large, complex organisation at, or reporting to, Board level, coupled with a track record of developing and delivering effective and innovative people strategies in large complex organisations and a deeply held commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
You will be highly credible with up-to-date human resource management knowledge and experience of advising at CEO and Board level on complex and sensitive issues. An In-depth understanding of effective change management and demonstrable achievement of leading significant organisational development and transformational change is also important.
A broad knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues affecting the HR function is required; together with recent knowledge of HR policy framework, and employee relations. It is also essential that you have a record of effective employee relations in a unionised environment.
You will be educated to degree level and a member of the CIPD, ideally with a post-graduate HR qualification and able to provide evidence of continuing professional development.
