Introducing Leroy Logan, the most unique voice in Metropolitan policing history.

Introducing Leroy Logan, the most unique voice in Metropolitan policing history.

On 16th September, Liberty HR Recruitment is thrilled to announce that Leroy Logan MBE will be presenting to our HR Leaders’ Forum. It is such a coup for us to have Leroy come and share his compelling story and insight, this will be a fabulous and not-to-be-missed event!

Dr Leroy Logan MBE is a former superintendent in the Metropolitan police. He retired in 2013 after 30 years’ service. He is also a former Chair and founding member of the Black Police Association.

Leroy is one of the UK’s most highly decorated and well known black police officers. A highly respected and well regarded commentator on policing in black communities, he believes that there is still much work to do in creating a more equitable and fair criminal justice system.

Since his retirement, Leroy has built a reputation as a go-to expert, using his decades of experience to give insightful, critical analysis on current events surrounding our justice system. He’s regularly called upon by Channel 4, Good Morning Britain, The Guardian, LBC, BBC Radio 4, HardTalk and more.

In 2020, Leroy’s first book ‘Closing Ranks, My Life As a Cop’ was published. It detailed his time as a senior police officer in London. ‘Red, White and Blue’ a dramatisation of Leroy’s decision to join the Metropolitan Police and his early time in the force, aired on BBC1 in the winter of 2020. Leroy was played by ‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega and the piece was directed by Oscar-winning Steve McQueen. You can find out more about Leroy via his website –

This event will take place via Zoom on 16th September and will start at 12:30 (although we advise that you log on at 12:20) and will last until 13:45

These forums are designed as an opportunity to connect, inspire and share ideas with a network of fellow HR Leaders in a supportive and collaborative environment. Leroy will talk for 45 minutes to 1 hour and then you will have the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
